    • Once approved, an employer will receive an email containing all of the resumes of student internship candidates.
    • Employer would then interview students just as you would with your normal selection/hiring process.
    • Offers are then made by the employer and intern selections are made on a first-to-extend-an-offer basis.
    • Notification of a hired intern must be made to Phillip Lenz, our Internship Committee Chairperson and Enjilee Dunn, our UNO Internship contact person at
    • Interns must be assigned a meaningful work experience!
    • Interns should be given a mentor/point person as their direct report.
    • The rate of pay will be $10/hour and they will be paid by the hiring employer through the regular payroll process.

    • The total minimum hours worked for the semester is 150, which is essentially 10 hours per week for 15 weeks.  They may work more if mutually agreeable.
    • Completed internships are worth 3 credit hours and interns will receive a grade for the course (details will be provided by the faculty supervisor).
